Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons

The fame of Chablis goes back to ancient times. While other once-prominent regions have been forgotten, Chablis has kept its reputation. The soil is hard to work, the climate inhospitable, and the vines must struggle to exist : all conditions that create the unique, flinty-dry Chardonnay of Chablis. There are 22 Premier Crus, which must reach a min. of 10.5% alc. to bear this designation. Many are indistinguishable from the higher-priced Grands Crus of the district.
