German Chardonnay White

From the Pfalz comes this delightful, dry white wine-1999 Essinger Rossberg. This wine is HALBTROCKEN or " half dry " and is made from the Chardonnay grape. The Chardonnay grape is relatively new to German wine production and is limited to vines grown in the Pfalz. Because there is no oak aging the wine is very crisp and clean and really highlights the wonderful taste of the Chardonnay grape. The taste is lite and has a subtle fruit with great acidity that makes for a fantastic crispness to the wine.The finish is soft and clean with no unpleasant aftertaste.
