Saint Benezet Merlot

Our Domaine Saint-Benezet comes from d' Oc, the regional classification for the Languedoc growing area. This region the largest wine growing area in France, bordering on the Mediterranean, curving from the Spanish border to the mouth of the Rhone River, just west of Marseille. The name Saint-Benezet, is an old pronounciation of Saint-Benoit (Sanctus Benedictus). The excitingly flavorfull Merlot grapes take advantage of the terroir, or the local soil and terrain to produce deeply colored red wines with rich flavor, full body and a wonderful, plumy fruit aroma.
