St. Siffrein Chateau Du Pape-Rouge

Chateauneuf-du-Pape is the wine world's most famous 'cocktail'. The Domaine de Saint Siffrein(named after the proprietor's great-grandfather,who created the estate in 1880),uses the traditional varietals,required for the cuvee:Grenache(50%),Syrah(25%),Mourvedre(15%),and small quantities of the remaining varietals. The owner,Claude Chastan,farms all of the vines organically. After aging in large oak casks for up to 24 months,the wine is estate-bottled. A full-bodied and powerful wine bursting with ripe fruit.
